PitchFest aims to give students the opportunity to test their entrepreneurship abilities and presentation skills. Participants are invited to verbally “pitch” a business idea in 3 minutes (without powerpoint slides). There are no restrictions on what the idea can be, and ideas are judged on creativity, ability to be commercialized, and the clarity of the presentation.

The ICE Club proudly presents the Peter Farrell Cup business planning competition. The Peter Farrell Cup is an important event for MBA and non-MBA students as it provides an excellent hands-on opportunity for students to learn and experience entrepreneurship, business planning and presenting to venture capitalists.

Thanks everyone for making the final presentations and awards night a successful conclusion to this year’s Peter Farrell Challenge Cup.
Congratulations to all the winners of the 2008 Peter Farrell Challenge Cup!
It was a tough competition, but at the end, the winners were:
1st place: FML Recruitment
2nd place: On Water Marine
3rd place: E-Par
4th place: Trace Optics
5th place: MobbiExpress
Social Endeavour Award (bonus $1,000.00): E-Par
Faculty Entrepreneur Prize: Wallace Bridge
We would especially like to thank Chris Witt and his CIE team for their help in planning & executing this event. Also to Wallace Bridge for mentoring and encouraging the vast majority of teams in the competition.
We’d also like to thank the judges and our kind sponsors for their invaluable support, as well as all those who directly or indirectly helped make this event an outstanding success.
Well done to all the teams that participated in this year’s cup. You are all winners and we look forward to having you join us next year.

Presentations from 5pm – 7pm
Pre-dinner drinks and canapés at 7pm
Dinner will be served in the Tyree Room at 7.30pm
It is free to attend the presentation between 5pm and 7pm. There is a $75 for students ($125 for non-students) to attend the pre-dinner drinks and the dinner.
